The Queens Parking Garage and Community Space is the first project in the City\u2019s Design-Build Borough Based Jails program. The new garage will provide over 600 new parking spaces for the community, including over 30 charging stations for electric vehicles with infrastructure for over 100 charging stations. A field of photovoltaic panels will cover the top level and enable the parking facility to achieve near zero net energy usage. A two-story, 25,000 SF Community Space is adjacent to the parking structure. A commodious entry plaza with a cascading monumental stair will enhance the Queens government campus and the future detention center.<\/p>\n <\/div>\r\n\r\n
