On 19 November, Sunday worship was held in the Temple of St. Archangel. In his sermon, Archpriest Giorgi (Kip) explained to the congregation the Gospel reading of the day about the resurrection of the Jairus’ daughter and a miracle with bleeding woman.
Jairus and bleeding women were imbued with a living faith. Everything is possible for a believing person. To escape, you need faith, complete love. We will also imitate the faith of the Jairus and unhappy woman to receive healing. A lot went after Christ, and many of them touched Him, but she was touched by one in faith, and thus healed. A miracle with the daughter of Jairus is a way of resurrection with the voice of God.
After the Liturgy, Archpriest Methodius (Efendiyev) preached the sermon. He explained that the events described in the Holy Gospel made us think about the relationship of man to God, that this meeting could change things. But relationships can be different.
The first kind of relationship is when the Lord head the Earth, his pressesing crowd. But there is no result from this meeting, but the crowd remains a crowd.
A different kind of relationship is like a bleeding woman, because she has touched Him not just out of idle curiosity, but in faith. Our faith must be daring without rules and restrictions – because the woman has violated all the prescriptions.
The third kind of human relationship with God shows us an example of Jairus, which has nothing left in his life except hope in Christ, because he was told that his daughter was dead.
The Gospel encourages us to ensure that faith is not an appendage to life, but permeated our entire lives.
